He pretended he was looking for another apartment at around 8:20 p.m.and followed the woman to her unit.
Rothschild said the suspect then attempted to force his victim into the bedroom of her apartment.
When the woman’s roommate appeared, the suspect fled into an elevator, where he began to change his clothing, Rothschild said. The man then escaped.
“We need to identify and locate this suspect so he does not attempt this again,” Rothschild said.
The suspect is described as Hispanic or Native American. He is in his early- to mid-20s. He is between 5'8” and 5'9” tall and weighs 160 pounds. He has black or brown hair.
There is a $1,000 reward for information leading to his arrest and conviction.
